I've had an SLC01 for a year now and love it (in red/black cos it makes a difference). When funds allow you may like to consider a wheel upgrade though to get the most out of it. Only thing to say is that the claimed wieght of 6.8kgs in that spec might be a little ambitious. I did mine in custom high end parts and it comes in at 6.9kgs.

My 2007 BMC pro machine has just over 2000 miles on it. I am an avid racer who is on the bike for 10-15 hours a week. I am 5'8 185 pounds and I can sprint and climb with the best amateur level racers in south Florida/NY. For starts I ride a 53 full dura ace with Easton ec 90 aero tubulars. The complete bike is 15.86 lbs.

It hasn't got the "new standards" such as BB30 and its likes and greatly oversized headsets (the SLC01 uses an ordinary 1-1/8" headset), but I can imagine it could still be a good frame.
